Terrestrial Fauna Surveys

Our reports identify the potential impacts of a development proposal on native fauna and provide solutions which facilitate the project and mitigate biodiversity losses.

Reports include:

  • Database searches and literature review to determine if threatened fauna does or could potentially occur on the site.

  • A survey using indirect and direct detection methods specific to the target faunal group (bird, mammals, reptiles and amphibians).

  • Identification of fauna on the site which are listed under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, State Government legislation and Council policies.

  • Maps showing the locations of habitat structures; such as hollow bearing trees, dens and nests.

  • Recommendations for protection of listed species.

  • Habitat enhancement recommendations.
